Career stats per UFC.com; recent form is each fighter's last five bouts. Numbers reflect records coming into fight night. Bars compare each stat on a fixed scale; the “Edge” marker flags the leading corner where the gap is meaningful. The snapshot plots five career rates — output, striking defense, durability (strikes absorbed, inverted), takedown defense and finish rate — each normalised on its own scale.

Pre-fight analysis — how we saw it going in

Case for Canuto

Canuto is a jiu-jitsu-first grappler — UFC.com lists her fighting style as Grappler — and the finishing record backs it: five of her seven professional wins are submissions, including two armbars, a rear-naked choke, a heel hook and a face crank. Her only loss came in an LFA interim title fight in 2023, and she has won three straight since. This is her Octagon debut, so nothing about her appears on the UFC's own stat sheet yet.

Case for Foro

Foro is unbeaten at strawweight, and six of her nine career wins have come by knockout. She earned her UFC place with a unanimous-decision win over Shanelle Dyer on the Contender Series, and that single tracked bout produced 55% striking accuracy behind 58% defence — numbers that fit a fighter built to close distance rather than out-point. Her only loss came in January 2024, and she has won seven in a row since.

What We Were Watching For

  • Canuto has finished five of her seven wins by submission; Foro has finished seven of her nine — whose finishing instinct arrives first.
  • Neither fighter has a UFC bout on record: this is Canuto's Octagon debut, and Foro's only tracked bout is a Contender Series decision.
  • Foro's lone tracked bout produced 55% striking accuracy and 58% defence — the only per-minute numbers either woman brings in.
  • Both are rebuilding off a single loss: Canuto three straight since 2023, Foro seven straight since January 2024.
