Miranda is an American wrestler who was a junior-college All-American at Santa Ana College before wrestling Division II at the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Kamaru Usman's alma mater.
He had not lost since a split-decision defeat to Kegan Gennrich in April 2023, a seven-fight run that included winning the LFA lightweight title from Richie Lewis and defending it twice.
