The fight barely had time to settle before Lewis detonated it. Teixeira pressed forward looking to test the veteran's reactions, but Lewis met the first real exchange with a short left hand that dropped the unbeaten prospect almost immediately. Follow-up punches on the floor ended it 35 seconds into the round and added another knockout to Lewis's record total.
