UFC Fight Night - Du Plessis vs. Usman
18 Jul 2026

Lebosnoyani came from behind to take a narrow unanimous decision over Seokhyeon Ko. Ko struck with more force through the opening half and defended the submission entries well, but his output faded as the fight wore on. Lebosnoyani raised his activity across the second and third to re-establish himself, and all three judges scored it 29-28 — a second straight UFC win and a sixth in a row.

Key moments

  • Was out-struck by Ko through the opening half while his submission entries were defended.
  • Lifted his output through rounds two and three as Ko's pace dropped.
  • Edged all three cards 29-28 on the strength of the late resurgence.

The Read

Style, strengths, and defining traits.

Lebosnoyani is a jiu-jitsu-based, switch-stance finisher whose calling card is speed: five of his ten wins are submissions and seven have come in the first round. On paper he is also a busy, accurate striker (4.77 significant strikes landed a minute at 62% accuracy), but the defense is porous at 53%, and both of his career losses came by knockout — so the danger is on the feet, not on the mat.

He arrived in the UFC on a five-fight tear: three LFA wins, a 68-second Contender Series knockout of Jack Congdon, and a split-decision win over veteran Phil Rowe in his Octagon debut. That result is the tell: a fighter with seven first-round finishes was dragged the distance by UFC-level opposition.

The follow-up answered it the same way. Against Seokhyeon Ko in July 2026 he was out-struck through the opening half, then lifted his output as Ko faded and took a 29-28 unanimous decision — a second straight UFC win, and a second straight trip to the scorecards for a fighter with seven first-round finishes.
