The Read

Style, strengths, and defining traits.

Frye still reads like a pressure heavyweight whose best work starts once he gets opponents backing straight up. He is not a layered volume striker yet, but the frame, right-hand confidence and willingness to close distance fast have been enough to build an all-knockout win column on the regional side.

That profile became more useful once the Guilherme Pat fight forced him through a full fifteen minutes in his UFC debut. The first loss slowed the momentum, but the Ryan Shough title win and the Justin Frazier stoppage right before the call-up still frame him as a heavyweight prospect whose danger is front-loaded and very real.
